Nobody in this country can truly say that they don't know that ciggarettes are bad for you.
Every packet carries a health warning, there are adverts everywhere and you are taught it at school that it seriously affects your health. So why I ask does anyone light up a cigarette for the first time today?
I can have some sympathy for those that struggle to quite as it is undeniably addictive but those who start now well I have no words for them.
This probably wouldn't go down well but personally I think that smoking related illnesses should not be treated on the NHS unless that person can prove that they have at least attempted to stop.
